Work > Raveling

Raveling in the New Year explores the attentive dedication and choreography of the hands through the repetition and transformational potential of labor. The residue of the daylong performance and recording of unraveling a large barge rope remained in the gallery.

Originally commissioned by Temple Contemporary in Philadelphia for their ongoing Silences series (participating artists include Cornelia Parker, Selena Kimball, Max Goldfarb, and Sophie Calle) - Raveling in the New Year - Durational performance to create a silence.

Raveling was included in LINE at Edinboro University, October 2021 - February 2022, the catalogue for the exhibition can be found HERE
