The laser cut shapes are the actual sizes translated from the 2019 rubbing, the mirrored area reflects the shapes from the 2023 rubbing, and the sandblasted area maps the area of change through weathering and erosion over the nearly four years between rubbings.

The full set of rubbings (12’ x 15’) is comprised of 30, 24” x 36” rubbings on paper (2019 and 2023) in a grid of five columns by six rows. The laser cut section shown here is a portion of the whole, measuring 10’ x 12’.
