Work > Timefulness

Timefulness* offers three works as meditations on change.
Cry Me (43' of) a River is influenced by the erosion of a national landmark. Depletion and Renewal records the remainders of a boom-and-bust ruin in an oil producing state. Rubble is Another Name for Interrupted Desire questions future stratification from the overwhelm of consumer waste. As a whole, Timefulness considers geologic time scales, human impacts of consumption and waste, and the forces of the planet and our responsibility to it.

These works were exhibited in the Kipp Gallery at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, October 23 - December 5, 2024.

*Timefulness as a title is borrowed from geologist and author Marcia Bjornerud, from her book Timefulness: How Thinking Like a Geologist Can Help Save the World (2020).
